Sedation Dentistry

What’s your initial reaction when you hear the words, “You need a Dentist appointment”? Fear? Anxiety? Oftentimes, dentistry is associated with pain and discomfort, which is why people avoid it. But with today’s sedation dentistry technology, there’s no need to be anxious about your visit. We want to make sure you are comfortable, so please ask us about our wide range of options to ensure your visit is pain-free and enjoyable.

Dr. Kashani provides sedation dentistry in Encino. He utilizes the latest and safest procedures to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed during the examination, including Nitrous Oxide sedation, (Laughing Gas), Oral Sedation medication, and General Anesthesia. All our practiced procedures are focused on your safety, and have been approved by the American Dental Association.
The safest, most effective way to unwind during a dental visit is through the use of Nitrous oxide sedation (Laughing Gas). Other forms of sedation dentistry are viable options as well, but unlike the others, you will be able to drive soon after the treatment, as the effects of Laughing Gas wear off quickly.

If your dental procedure requires a longer period of time to complete, we will determine if you are a candidate for general anesthesia. If you are, we will bring in an Anesthesiologist to make sure your experience is pain and anxiety free. Let our Encino dentists know before the appointment if you are thinking about anesthesia for your dental procedures.

Be sure to bring your medical and dental history when you consult with the dentist about whether or not you would benefit from anesthesia during your procedure. Your medical history will help them determine whether you need to stop taking certain medications for a few days first, or if you may be allergic to any anesthetics.

It doesn’t matter whether you need a teeth cleaning, or a more intensive procedure, you shouldn’t have to feel any discomfort. We offer a variety of oral sedations and medications, which may be taken before your appointment. Please give our Encino dentists a call at (818) 751-5100 if you have any questions!
