Botox

Botox has many uses in the medical and therapeutic fields. Here, at your favorite Encino dental services, Lasting Impressions Dental Spa, we use it for its cosmetic purpose—giving you the smooth skin you always wanted.

Botox in Encino is a safe, non-invasive way of halting the appearance of aging for months. It targets wrinkles, forehead lines, frown lines by the nose, crow’s feet around the eyes, and laughter lines.

The overall effect will depend on the total dose of medication, as it is portioned out to you by your cosmetic dentist in Encino, Dr. Kashani. The botox services include injections directly into your facial muscles, and only requires a few moments. Within five to seven days, the full effects of the treatment will be visible, and will last up to four months.

Results will vary depending on the individual, severity of wrinkles, and strength of the facial muscles. Allow for seven days before full effects can be enjoyed. Use ice, before and after injections, to counteract mild bruising that will occur near injection site.

Do not incur Encino Botox services if you have already had an injection where the Botox would be injected, are allergic to the ingredients, are pregnant, or have a neurological disorder.

Overview

  • Anesthesia isn't required, but if you prefer, the dentist will numb the area with a cold pack, or anesthetic cream, to ensure any discomfort is minimized.
  • Botox will be administered by your dentist in tiny injections, directly to the muscles that cause frown lines. The treatment takes an estimated 12 minutes to complete.
  • You are then free to drive yourself home, operate heavy machinery, and or perform complex equations. There is no downtime.
  • Your dentist will make sure you are thoroughly instructed in post-procedure ways to care for yourself.
  • Side effects of Botox treatments may include localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding, bruising.
  • Botox treatments are available to you every 3-4 months, if you wish to maintain the results.
